Job summary

Discover International is seeking a Clinical Trial Manager to lead the operational delivery of Phase I–IV trials, coordinating cross-functional teams from start-up through close-out. You will own end-to-end management, mentor junior staff, and maintain sponsor communications with proactive risk escalation.

Ideal candidates hold a life sciences degree with 4+ years in trial management, solid ICH-GCP knowledge, and experience with budgets and vendor oversight in CRO/pharma environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in life sciences or related field.
• 4+ years of clinical trial management experience in CRO/pharma/biotech settings.
• Proven line management/mentoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and UK/EU trial regulations.
• Experience in risk-based monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing study budgets and working with vendors.
• Experience in oncology, rare disease, or cardiovascular trials.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trial management for assigned studies, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Line-manage CRAs/CRCs, overseeing site monitoring plans and performance.
• Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors, providing status updates and risk escalation.
• Develop and manage study budgets, timelines, and vendor/CRO oversight plans.
• Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA, and sponsor SOPs.
• Lead site selection, feasibility assessments, and study start-up activities.
• Chair internal and sponsor study team meetings.
