Job summary

Discover International is partnering with a UK-based CRO to recruit a Clinical Trial Manager who will lead the operational delivery of Phase I–IV trials for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors. The role requires managing cross-functional teams and study timelines from start-up through close-out in Portsmouth, UK.

You will own end-to-end trial management, line-manage CRAs/CRCs, and serve as the primary sponsor contact.

Qualifications

• Life sciences degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in clinical trial management within CRO/pharma/biotech.
• Proven line management/mentoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, UK/EU trial regulations, and risk-based monitoring.
• Experience managing study budgets and vendors.
• Experience in oncology, rare disease, or cardiovascular trials.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trial management for assigned studies, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Line-manage CRAs/CRCs, overseeing site monitoring plans and performance.
• Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors, providing status updates and risk escalation.
• Develop and manage study budgets, timelines, and vendor/CRO oversight plans.
• Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA, and sponsor SOPs.
• Lead site selection, feasibility assessments, and study start-up activities.
• Chair internal and sponsor study team meetings.
