This role is a hybrid position working 21.9 hours per week. Interviews will be scheduled throughout May.
Main purpose of the job
An enthusiastic, committed, and professional individual is sought for this position. The primary responsibility of the post holder is to set up and support a high-quality clinical trial. The post holder will report to a Clinical Project Manager.
Qualifications, experience, and knowledge
- Degree and/or equivalent experience in Clinical Trials
- Experience managing a clinical trial
- Experience managing a trial involving an investigational medicinal product
- Comprehensive understanding of UK Clinical Trials Regulations, ICH GCP, European Directives on Clinical Trials, and the Department of Health’s Research Governance Framework
- Experience of monitoring
- Ability to set up and maintain effective management systems in trials
Skills and abilities
- Proven ability to establish and sustain effective trial management systems
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, Trial Databases, and systems such as IMP management and Randomisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Methodical, accurate work approach with attention to detail
- Decision-making skills and knowing when to consult colleagues or escalate issues
- Ability to work independently, manage workload, and demonstrate good organizational skills
- Ability to set and meet targets for oneself and others

- For Grades 7 & 8: Commitment to and knowledge of advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Experience using Pharmacovigilance systems
- Experience working in an academic or similar environment
- Experience delivering presentations and public speaking
- Experience in data management
- Ability to assess risks in clinical trials and prioritize accordingly
- Advanced organizational skills, managing multiple projects under time constraints
- Ability to supervise team members, foster good working relationships, and resolve conflicts
