Job summary

NHS Shetland is seeking a Clinical Team Leader in General Practice Nursing for Non-Doctor Islands. This substantive, full-time role (36 hours per week) sits at Band 7 with a salary range of £52,845–£61,466 per annum.

You will lead the Community Nursing Team across 15 islands, providing first-line management while using your clinical expertise to support District Nurses, Practice Nurses and island-based care.

Qualifications

• Currently at Band 6 or above with 3+ years in a senior practice nursing role.
• Desirable Masters level qualification (SCQF level 11) and Non-Medical Prescriber status.
• Essential Advanced Clinical Examination skills.

Responsibilities

• Share first-line management responsibility for the service while applying clinical expertise.
• Support and lead District Nurses, General Practice Nurses and island-based teams.
• Develop leadership and management skills for future role progression.
