Job summary

South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 2 Clinical Support Worker for the Surgical Assessment Unit. You will support the provision of high quality, safe, compassionate care to patients attending the SAU, including taking bloods and performing ECGs where competent or learning these skills as part of your development.

You will join a Trust that is developing its same-day emergency surgical care service and acts as a vital link in the local healthcare pathway.

Job description

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Clinical Support Worker to join our friendly Surgical Assessment Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join the surgical team at a time when we are developing our same day emergency surgical care service for patients referred from a variety of sources including the Emergency Department and GP’s.

Main duties will include supporting the provision of high quality, safe, compassionate, and efficient care for patents attending the surgical assessment unit.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is competent in taking bloods and performing ECGs, or someone who is enthusiastic and willing to learn these skills as part of their development.

There is opportunity to develop your clinical skills within this role.

The Clinical Support Worker will undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction and supervision of the registered professional and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
