Job summary

NHS Western Isles is seeking a motivated Clinical Support Assistant at Western Isles Hospital, Macaulay Road, Stornoway. The role covers Medical Records and Clinical Wards on a 19.2-hour week, band 2, fixed-term to March 2027.

Training will be provided in-house; PVG Scheme registration is required. This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.

• Experience of working with the public in an administrative role.
• Good communication skills and able to work in a busy environment.
• Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Based at Western Isles Hospital, rotating between Medical Records and Clinical Wards.

Plus £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata

Ideally, you have a good general education, experience of working with the public in an administrative role, have demonstrable good communication skills and enjoy working in a busy environment. Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential.
