Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Clinical Supply Chain Manager to shape end-to-end supply strategy for new clinical trials in Reading, UK. You will translate study protocols into smart kit designs and robust supply plans, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to meet quality standards and study timelines.

You will manage demand forecasts, packaging campaigns, IRT systems, distribution plans, and budget tracking, while ensuring compliance with GxP and regulatory requirements and leading

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business.
  • 3–5 years of industry experience in Clinical Trials.
  • 3–5 years experience in Clinical Supply Chain Management.
  • Ability to demonstrate good project management skills.
  • Ability to build working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret clinical trial protocols to create and execute a clinical trial supply chain solution.
  • Create master English label text in accordance with regulatory framework (e.g. Annex 13).
  • Create and maintain demand forecasts and packaging plans for project requirements.
  • Initiate packaging campaigns with vendor and oversee on-time delivery.
  • Setup and monitor study IRT systems to manage inventory.
  • Create distribution plan and oversee vendor execution.
  • Ensure delivery of trial materials to the right place, on time.
  • Track budgets and stay in line with quotations.
  • Maintain 100% training compliance and apply GxP knowledge.
  • Lead client and vendor meetings on supply chain topics as needed.
  • Develop Temperature Excursion management plan.
  • Review Temperature Excursions with IQVIA team.

Step into a role where strategy meets impact. As a Clinical Supply Chain Manager, you will shape and drive the end‑to‑end supply strategy for new clinical trials. Using your ability to translate complex study protocols into smart kit designs and robust supply plans, you’ll ensure that every element is aligned for seamless study execution. In this key position, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, leading them through the planning and delivery of a supply chain that meets highest quality standards and study timelines. Your responsibilities might include:
  • Interpret clinical trial protocols to create and execute an effective clinical trial supply chain solution.
  • Create master English label text in accordance with relevant regulatory framework (e.g. Annex 13).
  • Create and maintain demand forecasts and packaging plans so that packed clinical supplies are readily available in accordance with the project requirements.
  • Initiate packaging campaigns with the assigned vendor and provide oversight to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Setup, monitor, and where necessary, update study assigned Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems to ensure study inventory is effectively managed.
  • Create an appropriate distribution plan and have oversight of the assigned vendor(s) executing it.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to ensure that the supply of all trial materials is delivered to the right place at the right time.
  • Provide ongoing budget tracking activities so that projects are run efficiently and in accordance with client approved quotations.
  • Maintains 100% compliance on all assigned training and applies learnings to everyday practice.
  • Remain up to date in all GxP and regulatory requirements applicable to the role.
  • Lead client and vendor related meetings where necessary to discuss clinical supply chain topics or status updates.
  • Create a Temperature Excursion management plan.
  • Manage the review and assessment process of Temperature Excursions reported to the IQVIA Clinical Trial Supplies team.
  • Conducts thorough and regular risk management assessments to ensure all risks are systematically reviewed and appropriate mitigations are executed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Degree in a science or business function (Preferred not essential)
  • 3-5 Years industry experience in Clinical Trials (Essential)
  • 3-5 Years experience in Clinical Supply Chain Management (Essential)
  • Ability to demonstrate good project management skills.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and direction.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc).
  • Proficient in the English language.
