A leading community health organisation is seeking a full-time Clinical Supervisor and Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner for the Be U Swindon Mental Health Support Team. An exciting opportunity has become available withinthe Be U Swindon Mental Health Support Team for a full time Clinical Supervisorand Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner to increase the servicessupervision capacity. Under expert supervision and as part of a dynamic andevolving mental health support team the successful post- holder will supervise, develop, and support Education MentalHealth Practitioners/Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners to provide guidedself-help, low intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT and to deliver groups and WholeSchool Approach Interventions. The role will also involve highlighting areas ofneed within the team and helping to develop the service and create qualityimprovement plans supported by, and in conjunction with, senior colleagues. Thepost holder will also hold a small caseload of 6-8 in agreement with theirsupervisor and some line management responsibility will be required.

To develop and evaluateexisting and new areas of specialism within the service, including care recordaudits, school audits, participation.

Clinical Responsibilities
To be trained and confident in theuse of CYP IAPT Principles, evidence- based interventions and routine outcomemeasures.
To provide regular Case Managementand Clinical Skills Supervision to qualified and trainee Education MentalHealth Practitioners and Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners in service.
To support EMHPs/CWPs to deliverWhole School Approach work (audits of Whole School Approach, delivery of workshops,groups and work to promote positive mental wellbeing in the educational settingsin collaboration with the Whole School Approach Team.
To offer clinical assessments and LICBT interventions to children and young people in the MHST locality of Swindon,including working with those with more complex presentations as required.
To provide signposting andself-help advice, or refer onto other services, where referrals are notappropriate for the MHST provision.
To complete all requirementsrelating to data collection within the service.
To keep coherent records of allclinical activity in line with service operational policies and processes.
To support clinicians to adhere toan agreed number of contacts and clinical sessions carried out per week, tominimise waiting times and to ensure treatment delivery remains accessible andchild centred.
To support EMHPs / trainee EMHPsusing role modelling to assess and support children and young people with acommon mental health problem in the self-management of their recovery.
Identify training needs across theteam and assist in the development of routes for CPD
To offer training sessions asappropriate as to attend training appropriate to the work role.
To contribute to the developmentof best practice within the Mental Health Support Team

To ensure themaintenance of standards of own professional practice.
To ensureappropriate adherence to any new recommendations or guidelines set by therelevant departments.
To ensurethat confidentiality is always protected.
To ensurethat any risks or issues related to the safety and wellbeing of anyone the postholder comes into contact within the course of their professional duties arecommunicated and shared with appropriate parties in order to maintainindividual safety and the public interest.
To ensureclear objectives are identified, discussed, and reviewed with supervisor andsenior colleagues on a regular basis as part of continuing professionaldevelopment.
Participatein individual performance/appraisal review and work towards agreed objectives.
To participateregularly in the agreed systems for supervision
Keep allrecords up to date in relation to Continuous Professional Development and therequirements of the post and ensure personal development plans maintains up todate specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service deliverymodels/developments.
Attendrelevant educational opportunities in line with identified professionalobjectives.
To communicatein ways that recognise difference and to ensure that others feel included accordingto needs of recipient(s).
