Job summary

Calibre8 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Clinical Support role in orthopaedics, covering Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and parts of Warwickshire. You will train surgical staff, act as the clinical subject expert on large joint implants, and collaborate with Consultants, Surgeons, and Sales Representatives to meet targets.

Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and ongoing training to surgical staff across levels.
• Train on large joint orthopaedic implants as the clinical subject expert for the territory.
• Cover NHS and Private sectors across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and parts of Warwickshire.
• Deliver high-quality training and attend surgical procedures as requested.
• Manage your own diary with support from the team.
• Support Sales Representatives to achieve targets and promote products.
• Build positive relationships with current and potential clients across NHS and private settings.

Purpose of the role

As a Clinical Support, you will be accountable for providing Clinical Support across a central area of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and parts of Warwickshire.

You’ll be working alongside Consultants, Surgeons, Theatre Staff, or assisting the Sales Representatives in meetings. Providing training and supporting surgical staff in the correct clinical use of company products.

Responsibilities

• You will be providing excellent initial and ongoing training to a range of surgical staff, from head of department to newly graduated ODP's etc.
• Training people on large joint orthopaedic implants, being the clinical subject expert for your employer across your territory.
• Covering Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and parts of Warwickshire, across the NHS and Private sector.
• It's essential that you deliver high quality training, along with attending surgical procedures as requested by customers, or the Area Sales Manager.
• You will have complete autonomy in managing your own diary, but, with the added support of an established and performing team!
• In this role you will also be working with and supporting Sales Representatives to ensure sales targets are achieved, you're an integral part of the process.
• You’ll be continually promoting the products and building positive business relations with current and potential clients.
• Throughout the job you’ll be liaising with a diverse group of people across the NHS and Private hospital settings, along with at Trade Shows and Events.
• Full training is provided and tailored to the person joining, and the existing experience they have, with ongoing career development!

Experience

Experienced Clinical Specialists already working within the industry, looking for a change or ODP's, Physician Associates, Theatre Nurses, Surgical Assistants, Scrub Nurses, or Theatre Assistants with a passion for orthopaedics. If recently qualified, you will ideally have some form of post graduation / qualification work experience, but this is not essential, if you have some decent orthopaedic experience.

The Person

• It's essential that you've got surgical orthopaedic experience in some form!
• You’ll need a passion for MSK and orthopaedic joint replacement.
• Strong communication skills are essential, and the ability to build a good rapport with people from all backgrounds!
• You could be a Clinical Specialist from within the medical devices industry who is looking for a change.
• You could also have experience as an ODP's, Physician Associate, Theatre Nurses, Surgical Assistants, Scrub Nurses, or Theatre Assistants with a passion for orthopaedics.
• It is vital that you have a very good level of general anatomy and physiology knowledge to aid in clinical conversations!
• You need to be highly motivated and able to be flexible to changeable days.
• You will need to live within Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire or Bedfordshire area, or be willing to re-locate at you own expense.
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential for anyone applying.
