Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking a Clinical Skills Tutor to deliver teaching and assessment in clinical examination and communication skills to undergraduate medical students within the Trust.

A key focus is coordinating early clinical environment visits for Year 1 and Year 2 students, organising timetables for clinics, theatres and ward placements, and building strong cross-disciplinary relationships.

Qualifications

• First Degree in nursing/ healthcare or equivalent
• Current professional registration
• Post graduate qualification in healthcare specialty
• Post Graduate Certificate in Education, PGCE
• ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification
• ILS or ALS Instructor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate early clinical environment visits for Year 1 and Year 2 medical students
• Deliver teaching in clinical examination and communication skills
• Liaise with hospital skills teams and the University of Manchester Medical School
• Assist with training such as communication skills, simulation sessions and manual handling
• Ensure clinical examinations run smoothly with skills team support
• Integrate new learning opportunities and resources into teaching delivery
