Job summary

Insulet invites a Clinical Services Training Lead to advance diabetes care across Europe and international markets. You will develop and deliver clinical training for the Omnipod portfolio, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Healthcare Professionals to improve patient outcomes.

You will support EU distributor markets, lead training projects, and upskill partner staff and clinicians in regions where Omnipod is established or being introduced.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience training and/or managing insulin pump patients.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical organisation in a commercial role clinical/sales/marketing/training.

Responsibilities

  • Work with channel partner personnel to assess training needs and design, deliver training courses for product launches and ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Onboarding training of new channel partners to ensure best possible patient and HCP experience for Omnipod portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, Regulatory and Marketing to meet training goals in existing and new markets.
  • Leads training outputs for EU distributor new market projects.
  • Develops training materials for channel partner clinical and sales teams; uses Veeva MLR for content approval.
  • Supports sales events (pump clinics, info sessions, patient nights) and vendor days at partner requests.
  • Promotes insulin pump therapy and Omnipod sales to providers and patients in sessions.
  • Evaluates and supports CPTs and CSMs in essential skills for patient transition.
  • Collaborates with Distributor Teams to tailor training by geography while managing cost and timing.
  • Oversees CPTs (internal/external) with field visits and timely product updates.
  • Demonstrates engagement between sales and clinical stakeholders to improve patient training outcomes.
  • Assists with product training for sales and clinical hires at channel partners.
  • Performs administrative duties and timely reporting.
  • Provides field feedback to distributor management and teams.
  • Conducts field visits and product training in distributor markets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Join Insulet as a Clinical Services Training Lead and play a pivotal role in advancing diabetes care across Europe and international markets. In this highly visible position, you will lead the development and delivery of clinical training programs, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, and Healthcare Professionals to enhance knowledge of the Omnipod® Insulin Management System and support exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Overview

The Clinical Training Lead will be responsible for supporting the EU Distributor Markets to deliver our commercial plans and accelerate both patient acquisition and patient retention across the region driving excellence in sales team and HCP training, delivery and tracking of programmes. This role will be pivotal in upskilling the knowledge of our channel partner staff but will also involve working closely with external Healthcare Professionals to support training opportunities in countries where Omnipod is established but also where the clinicians have not previously been exposed to the Omnipod brand. The Clinical Training Lead will also work closely with our existing channel partners to identify areas for improvement and share best practice to increase understanding and communication of the Omnipod portfolio's benefits.

The Clinical Training Lead will also play a pivotal role in the new market project planning team leading on all aspects of the channel partner or employee training in EU distributor markets.

By working proactively and collaboratively with all stakeholders across the business and our external partners, the Clinical Training Lead will have a vital role in maximising the potential of the Omnipod DASH and Omnipod 5 systems across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Work with channel partner personnel, perform training needs assessment, design and deliver relevant training courses and material to ensure effective product launch and ongoing clinical excellence with existing channel partners.
  • Onboarding training of new channel partners to ensure best possible patient and HCP experience for Omnipod portfolio.
  • Works in conjunction with Sales, Customer Care, Regulatory, and Marketing to build knowledge and help to achieve training goals in existing and new markets.
  • Leads Training outputs as part of EU distributor new market project plan and delivers outputs.
  • Development of training materials for delivery to channel partner clinical and sales teams, as well as use of the Veeva Medical Review (MLR) framework for approval of content. Training for this will be provided.
  • Assists with sales events such as pump clinics, pump support groups, info sessions, in-the-office educational events, patient info nights, JDRF walks, vendor days at the request of partner organisations
  • Promotes the benefits of insulin pump therapy and sells Omnipod portfolio to providers and patients in group and/or individual sessions or as a continuing education offering as appropriate.
  • Evaluates and supports Certified Pod Trainers (CPTs) and CSMs in skills needed to be effective and excellent in helping patients moving to Omnipod therapy.
  • Works with Distributor Teams, to enhance patient training based on business needs of geography (considering overall costs of training and timeliness of training).
  • Oversees CPTs (internal & external) by seeing them face-to-face and by providing timely product updates and by being a sales and clinical resource.
  • Ability to understand the importance of engagement from a sales and clinical point of view, and will work in conjunction with HCPs for superior patient training outcomes.
  • Assists with product training & clinical topics for Sales and Clinical hires at Channel Partners as required.
  • Ability to perform administrative duties and complete/ turn in on a timely basis.
  • Provide field feedback to Distributor Management & Distributor Team based on training of distributor hires, HCPs, and patients.
  • Conduct Field Visits and Product Training in Distributor Markets as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience training and/or managing insulin pump patients.

At least 5 years' experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical organisation in a commercial role clinical/sales/marketing/training.

Skills / Competencies
  • Fluent in English, second language advantageous
  • Diabetes experience is essential
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is strongly preferred.
