Clinical Services Manager - Theatre

Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare, with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Services Manager to join our team in the Theatre department. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Lead the theatre team to deliver outstanding patient care across all perioperative stages, including anaesthetics, surgery, and recovery.
  2. Foster a culture of compassion and respect through effective team engagement, communication, and support.
  3. Prioritize patient safety, act as an advocate, and address care or safeguarding concerns.
  4. Ensure efficient theatre service delivery through resource planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  5. Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary theatre team.
  6. Support compliance with statutory and Circle Health Group standards and regulations.
Candidate criteria:
  1. NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with perioperative leadership experience.
  2. Strong background in anaesthetics, scrub, or recovery within theatre settings.
  3. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and develop others.
  4. Excellent organizational and planning skills, with knowledge of workforce management tools.
  5. Strong communication, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making abilities.
