Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the leadership team responsible for delivering Inpatient Therapy services (Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy) at UHCW NHS Trust. An understanding of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy professional drivers and challenges is essential along with a passion for acute recovery and rehabilitation service delivery and effective patient pathways.
The inpatient Therapy service at UHCW NHS Trust is an expanding, forward-thinking and highly regarded service and this post offers excellent personal and professional development opportunities within an established, supportive team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking professional with excellent leadership, people management and operational delivery skills to join us.
Applications are welcome from Physiotherapists able to demonstrate extensive acute hospital inpatient clinical and leadership experience. The successful candidate will have day to day responsibility for the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Clinical Exercise Physiology provision offered by six specialty teams. They will work closely with their Occupational Therapy CSM counterpart to ensure profession specific leadership and support across all twelve inpatient specialty teams.
Your development needs will be identified through regular supervision and appraisals and supported through internal/ external learning opportunities.
Main duties of the jobA high profile, accessible and responsive leader with managerial responsibility for planning and developing, co-ordinating, delivery and evaluating the Occupational / Physiotherapy service on a day-to-day basis across all inpatient clinical areas.Key Functions
The role will entail working at both our University Hospital Coventry and Hospital of St Cross in Rugby. Core hours will be delivered Monday to Friday but on occasion bank holiday and weekend working may be required.
