Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Records Reviewer to work within the Safeguarding team. The role focuses on extracting health information from electronic systems and sharing it with safeguarding colleagues to support multi-agency decisions involving adults and children.

You will attend strategy meetings, provide health information to inform risk assessments, and contribute to learning materials and education events within the safeguarding framework.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate adult and child safeguarding awareness.
• Evidence of knowledge of information sharing principles.
• Relevant experience with working with adults and children.
• Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Multiagency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to contribute to safeguarding decisions.
• Provide health advice to inform risk assessment and care planning for safeguarding adults and children.
• Offer guidance to frontline practice under safeguarding supervision.
• Support safeguarding practitioners during reviews under relevant safeguarding legislation.
• Create learning materials or participate in safeguarding education events.
• Share sensitive information with external agencies in safeguarding meetings.
• Decide which information from databases to present at meetings.
• Handle distressing information with concentration while reviewing records.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and seek supervision as needed.
• Advise on patient safety issues and assist in policy development.
• Attend and support inter-agency learning and service development.
• Maintain own safeguarding equipment and organize workload.
