Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a patient-focused, motivated nurse with an interest in clinical research to join our established clinical research team. The post holder will support senior research nurses and work across two acute sites in Huddersfield and Halifax.

No prior research nursing experience is required, as a comprehensive induction, mentorship support and buddy system are provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an interest in clinical research.
• Patient-focused and motivated with good project management skills.
• Able to work flexibly across clinical areas and specialties.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad clinical workload and assist with recruitment into research studies and follow-up.
• Identify potential patients for trial entry and assist in informed consent.
• Coordinate screening tests and appointments per trial protocols.
• Collect accurate data and arrange tests and visits across specialties.
• Be visible in clinical areas, offering research options and overseeing care.
