We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Midwife with a strong interest in clinical research to join our dynamic research team at University College London Hospital on a 12 month fixed term contract
In this position, you will oversee and conduct a variety of CRN Portfolio-supported research studies in the fields of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. While prior research experience is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly understand and implement complex academic protocols, possess strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The research midwife or nurse will be responsible for identifying and recruiting eligible participants for clinical studies, providing clear and accurate information about the research, and obtaining informed consent. They will act as a key point of contact for both study participants and healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and support throughout the research process. The role also involves managing study data in line with regulatory requirements and overseeing participant follow-up to maintain protocol compliance and data integrity. Applicants must meet all the essential criteria listed in the Person Specification and align with the Trust's vision and values. Ideally, candidates will have at least 2 years of post-registration experience and a genuine interest in clinical research.
