Job summary

Bangor University invites applications for an Academic Tutor (60% FTE) based in the School of Psychology on campus in Bangor. The role supports the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme, assisting the Academic Director with curriculum planning and trainee training coordination.

The successful candidate will hold a DClinPsy (or equivalent), be HCPC registered, and be eligible for Chartered status with the BPS.

Qualifications

• DClinPsy (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology.
• Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist.
• Eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Academic Director in organising the curriculum and developing academic teaching workshops for qualified clinical psychologists.
• Become actively involved in the further development and delivery of teaching on the programme.
• Carry out research in an area of clinical psychology relevant to local and national priorities.
• Provide teaching for the NWCPP, to assist in curriculum development, and to co-ordinate academic input from other psychologists within their respective specialist areas.
• Act as Training Co-ordinator for the NWCPP.
• Act as an Internal Assessor for NWCPP academic assignments and thesis.
