Job description

Are you an experienced Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about transforming the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Renaissance Education is seeking a compassionate, innovative and highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team and lead the delivery of psychological services within our specialist therapeutic school. This is a unique opportunity to shape therapeutic practice, influence whole-school approaches and make a lasting impact on the emotional wellbeing, development and future outcomes of the children we support.

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and external professionals, you'll provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), neurodevelopmental differences and complex emotional and behavioural needs. You'll lead multidisciplinary discussions, contribute to diagnostic assessments, develop therapeutic recommendations, deliver individual and group interventions, and provide expert consultation and training to colleagues to ensure psychological principles are embedded throughout the school.

This is far more than a clinical role, it's an opportunity to influence the strategic development of therapeutic services and help create an environment where every child feels understood, supported and empowered to succeed. You'll lead and support the multidisciplinary team, contribute to service development, supervise colleagues where appropriate, undertake research and evaluation, and ensure the highest standards of professional practice, safeguarding and clinical governance are maintained. Every aspect of your work will contribute to creating a nurturing, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming environment where children can thrive both academically and emotionally.

We're looking for an HCPC-registered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist who combines clinical excellence with warmth, creativity and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children with SEND. In return, you'll join a forward-thinking organisation that values collaboration, innovation and continuous professional development, offering the opportunity to shape therapeutic practice, influence whole-school improvement and make a meaningful difference to the lives of children, families and colleagues every day., Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding and child-centred practice throughout the recruitment process and during their employment with Renaissance Education.
