This is an exciting opportunity to join our inpatient adult wards based at the Cavell Centre (AAU, Treatment, Recovery, and PICU). You will focus on providing input and support across the Treatment and Recovery wards.
The role is in it's infancy, and the successful candidate will have some scope to shape their portfolio with support and under guidance. Unlike a community role, a significant part of this role will involve working with the nursing team, providing reflective practice sessions, joint formulation and supporting the development of behavioural interventions for nursing staff. You will be involved in a small caseload of patients from the Treatment and Recovery wards.

You will be providing support and input for our Treatment and Recovery wards in Peterborough. You will be expected to provide specialist psychological assessments and formulation for the psychological treatment and/or management of a clients mental and/or health problems. You will also be responsible for implementing a range of highly specialist psychological interventions. As a senior clinician you will be expected to adjust and refine treatments and formulations based on different explanatory models.
Your role will also involve working with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote and support psychologically minded practice. You will be expected to provide advice and consultation for your MDT colleagues. Supporting your colleagues may also involve providing clinical supervision for psychological interventions. You will need to liaise with other professionals in CPFT and our partner organisations to provide expertise and specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to support the analysis of client’ problems and disorders.
This is a multifaceted role and there is a significant opportunity with support for developing and piloting innovative practice to provide better support for our service users and colleagues in the Treatment and Recovery wards.
