Job summary

The Clinical Practice Educator at Care Dorset will support across services with nursing learning needs, collaborating with The CarePath Academy Team and reporting to the Learning & Development Manager. You will create engaging clinical training materials for registered and non-registered staff, ensuring competency to deliver high-quality care.

Part of the role includes induction support for new starters, occasional non-clinical courses, learning evaluation, mentoring registered clinical staff,

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality in-house clinical training programmes, workshops and resources for frontline care colleagues.
• Create and facilitate educational sessions on a broad range of clinical and non-clinical subjects to maintain workforce capabilities.
• Select and use blended learning methods (eLearning, virtual classroom, face-to-face) for delivery.
• Provide ongoing mentorship to registered nurses and relevant clinical roles in their development goals.
• Ensure training meets legal and regulatory guidelines (CQC, NICE, RCN, HEE frameworks).
• Collaborate with CarePath Academy to evaluate service delivery and identify skill gaps and learning needs.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with managers and care colleagues to ensure workforce training needs are met.
