Job summary

University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to act as Responsible Pharmacist and contribute to high-quality pharmacy services for patients and staff. The role includes screening prescriptions for safety and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Act as Responsible Pharmacist.
• Professionally screen prescriptions for safety, accuracy and appropriateness.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement processes in the pharmacy.
• Support the training and development of apprentices and trainee staff.
• Commit to own learning and HELM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Responsible Pharmacist and ensure SOPs, GPhC standards and policies are followed.
• Oversee the safe and effective sale and supply of medicines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality pharmacy services to patients and staff.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and risk management in dispensing.
• Support development of a high-performing pharmacy team and positive culture.
