Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Leeds General Infirmary is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join the paediatric pharmacy team. You will work within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, providing expert pharmaceutical care for critically ill children and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration and a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, or equivalent.
• Substantial post-registration experience as a practising clinical pharmacist.
• Advanced clinical pharmacy knowledge with the ability to apply it to complex patient care.
• Experience of managing complex clinical situations and providing clinical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop other pharmacy team members.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
• Desirable paediatric and/or critical care experience and independent prescriber status.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmaceutical care for paediatric patients within the PICU/HDU and MDT.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice for critically ill children across subspecialties.
• Support and develop the paediatric pharmacy team and nursing colleagues.
