Job summary

Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, Moray, NHS Grampian, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist at Band 6 or Band 7 to join our Pharmacy Department. This full-time, permanent role may be split between posts and offers a training pathway from Band 6 to Band 7.

You’ll deliver clinical pharmaceutical care across acute medicine, general surgery and orthopaedics, review medicines on admission, support discharge, provide advice to patients and colleagues, and contribute to medicines management and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have full GPhC registration and post-registration experience.
• Hospital pharmacy experience desirable but not essential.
• Motivated, adaptable and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy input to individual patients and review medicines on admission.
• Monitor treatment during a patient’s stay and support safe discharge.
• Advise patients, carers and healthcare professionals on medicines.
• Contribute to medicines management, prescribing policies and guidelines; participate in audit, teaching and training.
