If you’re looking for a role where you can develop your clinical expertise, work as part of a supportive team and enjoy a great quality of life, Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin could be the place for you.
We’re looking for a Clinical Pharmacist at Band 6 or Band 7 to join our Pharmacy Department. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, with the potential for the post to be split between multiple post holders.
Our clinical pharmacists provide high-quality pharmaceutical care across a wide range of specialties. You’ll have the opportunity to use and develop your clinical skills in settings including acute medicine, general surgery and orthopaedics, working alongside other members of the multi professional team to ensure patients receive safe, effective and appropriate medicines.
You’ll provide clinical pharmacy input to individual patients, review medicines on admission, monitor treatment throughout a patient’s stay, support safe discharge and provide advice to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
You’ll also contribute to medicines management, prescribing policies, clinical guidelines, audit, research, teaching and training. Allowing you to make a real contribution to the quality and safety of patient care.
We provide a supportive learning environment where you can further develop your clinical skills and work towards your Royal College of Pharmacy Advanced Portfolio.
If you join us at Band 6, the post is a training post. You’ll be employed under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions and paid at Band 6 during your training period while you complete post-registration foundation pharmacist credentialing. Once you have achieved this, you’ll move to Band 7. The expected timescales for achieving these will be agreed with you and communicated in writing by your Line Manager.
You’ll work as an independent practitioner, supported by experienced senior pharmacists, with opportunities to learn from and contribute to a wide-ranging, integrated Pharmacy Service.
