Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking Clinical Pharmacists at Band 6-7 progression to support mental health services and community health services in Goodmayes and North East London. The role involves working within a specialist pharmacy team and coordinating care across inpatient and community settings.

Starting with a structured induction and rotation blocks, there is a progression pathway, supervision responsibilities, and participation in on-call and Saturday services.

Responsibilities

• To work collaboratively as part of a specialist pharmacy team within mental health services (MHS) and community health services (CHS).
• To deliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to specialities on a rotational basis within both MHS and CHS. This includes inpatient and community-based services, as well as liaising between services to ensure continuity of care across the interface. A rotation block is 6 months. Fully clinical rotations are 6 months long. Dispensary rotation is 3 months paired with a clinical rotation for the remaining 3 months of the 6-month block.
• To lead/contribute to and implement actions from clinical audits, research and quality improvement projects.
• To lead/contribute to guideline/SOP/PGD/policy reviewing.
• To act as a Practice Supervisor for new starters (e.g. Trainee Pharmacists, Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy students)
• To participate in the Pharmacy On-Call Service and Saturday service
• To participate in provision of Dispensary services
