East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Development Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy support for mental health inpatient teams. The role includes medicines optimisation, ward stock control and clozapine management, with rotation through CAMHS, forensics and older adults.

Newly qualified pharmacists are supported into hospital psychiatry, with opportunities to pursue a postgraduate certificate or diploma while working within an MDT in a large London trust.

Qualifications

• Clinical and critical appraisal skills to enhance patient care.
• Ability to communicate medicines information to patients, carers and clinical staff.
• Experience with medicines optimisation and clinical audits.

Responsabilités

• Provide a clinical pharmacy service to designated mental health inpatient teams, covering all aspects of medicines optimisation
• Give expert pharmaceutical advice to the MDT and hold patient-centred medicines discussions
• Develop clinical pharmacy services across the Luton and Bedfordshire directorates
• Implement and monitor the Trust's clinical pharmacy standards
• Ensure the clinical service is high quality and patient-focused
• Lead quality improvement work to address gaps in the service
• Manage ward stock and clozapine supply for inpatients and community users
• Rotate through mental health specialisms and with the acute trust provider
• Work within the wider multidisciplinary team of nurses, doctors and pharmacists
