Job description

We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Priory Medical Group.

Working 37.5 - 40 hours per week.

You'll work alongside our experienced pharmacy and clinical teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

You will be a GPhC registered pharmacist, or sitting the upcoming summer registration assessment.

Main duties of the job

1. Manage your own telephone and face-to-face clinics to consult with patients on medication-related queries across various clinical areas.
2. Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the pharmacy team to oversee medication changes for newly diagnosed patients (e.g., Diabetes, Osteoporosis) and manage our patient register of DMARD patients.
3. Utilize relevant resources such as eMC, local, and national guidelines.
4. Liaise with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
5. Engage in research and quality improvement projects to develop our service.

About us

We are a friendly, well-organized, and social surgery with an increasing patient list of 15,550 patients, operating from three sites: North Shields, Hadrian Park, and Tynemouth.

We are a teaching practice with GP Registrars, F2 Doctors, Physician Associate, pharmacy, and medical students on placement.

Our clinical team includes 7 GP Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs, a Physician Associate, 3 Pharmacists, and 3 Pharmacy Technicians.

The practice hosts First Contact Physio clinics and has an in-house Mental Health Nurse.

Alongside our in-house Pharmacy Team, we collaborate with the North Shields PCN pharmacy team to provide medication reviews for our patients.

We hold a CQC rating of 'Good' with high levels of QOF achievement.
