Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a band 6/7 clinical pharmacist to join a supportive pharmacy team in Reading. The post is full-time and permanent, with rotation across mental health and community wards and opportunities to develop clinical skills.

Based at Prospect Park Hospital with potential work at inpatient sites across Berkshire; the team emphasises MDT collaboration, professional development, and flexible staffing to meet service needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high-quality clinical pharmacy service across community and mental health inpatient wards.
• Work alongside the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) and participate in ward-specific supports.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support to designated wards and contribute to pharmacy rotas.
• Rotate across dispensary, medicines information and medicines safety as part of service delivery.

Summary

We are recruiting a band 6/7 clinical pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team. Both band 6 and band 7 applicants are welcomed. The post offers an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic pharmacist looking to develop their clinical skills. This is also an ideal opportunity for either a newly qualified pharmacist (with hospital pharmacy experience) or an existing and ambitious band 6 pharmacist looking for a band 7 post. We will support you in your professional development.

This post is a full-time, permanent contract and based at Prospect Park Hospital although we also have inpatient sites in Newbury, Wokingham, Maidenhead and Slough. The postholder will be part of rotation plans which will include covering mental and community health wards, dispensary, medicines information and medicines safety.

Prospect Park Hospital is based in Tilehurst, a leafy suburb of Reading, 30 mins by train from London Paddington and Waterloo stations. We offer free onsite parking, top staff accommodation less than a 5-minute walk from your base.

You will be expected to deliver a consistently high-quality clinical pharmacy service across community and mental health inpatient wards.
