Job summary

Woodbank Surgery seeks an enthusiastic pharmacist to develop and extend the role of pharmacists within primary care. The role is patient facing and covers medicines management for long-term conditions and acute presentations, guiding prescribing in a cost-effective way within a skilled clinical team.

As part of the team, you will conduct structured reviews, assist the prescription team, attend MDTs and help ensure formulary adherence and quality targets are met in practice.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Pharmacy (Mpharm) or equivalent.
  • Registered with GPhC.
  • Independent prescriber status or commitment to undertake the course.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medicines management across primary, acute and domiciliary care.
  • Ability to gain confidence and credibility with professionals.

Job summary

We seek an enthusiastic and driven individual keen to develop and extend the role of pharmacists within primary care. The role will be patient facing and include all aspects of medicines management across both long-term conditions and acute presentations. You will work as part of the highly-skilled clinical team guiding them in innovative and cost-effective prescribing.
