Job summary

ICON plc is seeking a Procurement Lead to support and work closely with a Senior Outsourcing Manager on contracting needs for clinical development programs. You will generate, negotiate and execute select clinical trial contracts, ensuring terms and budgets align with trial requirements.

You will manage confidentiality agreements, vendor negotiations, scope of work and budgets with cross-functional teams, while upholding high standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Life sciences or business experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical development including clinical trial budget development.
• Negotiation, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).

Responsibilities

• Confirm confidentiality agreements are executed as required.
• Negotiate and execute contracts for select ancillary vendors supporting a clinical trial.
• Serve as the contact with ancillary vendors for scope of work, study assumptions and budgets.
• Maintain attention to detail in review and management of contractual, financial, budget and invoicing items.
• Identify risks, adapt strategies and make independent decisions.
• Understand vendor budgets, payment structures, cost analyses, budget reconciliation and invoicing processes.
• Manage vendor and cross-functional stakeholder relationships and collaboration.
• Follow and improve operational and contractual processes.
• Apply knowledge of GCP, GDPR, data privacy and standard contractual provisions.
• Manage engagements end-to-end from strategy and contract execution through issue resolution and post-contract oversight.
