• Role Summary: The post holder will assess patients, plan, implement, and evaluate care using specialist knowledge, providing advice and maintaining records. Evidence-based care will be central to practice, ensuring dissemination of best practices. The post holder will work independently within their expertise, providing highly specialized care for patients with urology cancers, especially metastatic bladder, renal, and penile cancers. They will assist in service development, provide education and training, and offer psychological support. Responsibilities also include breaking bad news regarding cancer diagnoses or disease progression.

More about the role

We seek a motivated individual to enhance our cancer nurse specialist service, supporting Urology Oncology patients. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, managing complex patient needs, attending meetings, clinics, and supporting inpatient and outpatient care. The post includes coordinating referrals, investigations, and signposting to support services. Some travel between hospital sites is required.
