The Role

As a Neuro-oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist with us, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering expert, patient-centred care to those undergoing anticancer treatment. You will act as a Key Worker, providing personalised support and guidance throughout the treatment journey while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance clinical services.

What You'll Do

• Act as the main point of contact for a caseload of patients, ensuring seamless care coordination and ongoing support.
• Provide specialist clinical care, including nurse-led clinics, treatment pathway management, and direct patient support.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to improve referral pathways, reduce waiting times, and enhance treatment accessibility.
• Offer patient education and emotional support, ensuring a compassionate and high-quality care experience.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance clinical practice.

What You'll Have

• Registered Adult Nurse with a post-registration qualification in cancer or palliative care.
• Minimum three years’ post-registration experience, including two years in oncology, palliative care, or neuro-oncology.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or in an advanced practice role (desirable).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Advanced communication and psychological skills training (desirable).
