Job summary

GenesisCare is expanding its UK network with a brand-new cancer care centre in Leeds. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Breast Care to establish specialist services, support patients, and shape pathways from the outset.

You will work closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver expert nursing care, coordinate care across the patient journey and advocate for patients and families throughout their treatment.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration breast cancer care or oncology experience.
• Experience supporting patients through complex cancer pathways.
• Exceptional assessment, communication and care coordination skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
• Experience working autonomously within a wider team.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Previous Clinical Nurse Specialist or advanced practice experience is advantageous.

Help shape specialist breast cancer services from the very beginning GenesisCare is expanding its UK network with a brand-new cancer care centre in Leeds, bringing together advanced treatment technology, specialist clinical expertise and a patient-centred approach to care. As the founding Clinical Nurse Specialist Breast Care, you will play a key role in establishing specialist breast cancer services within our new Leeds centre. Working alongside leading consultants and multidisciplinary teams, you will support patients throughout their treatment journey whilst helping to shape pathways, standards and services from the outset. This is a unique opportunity to join a new team, influence how care is delivered and make a meaningful difference to patients and their families at every stage of their cancer experience. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Breast Care, you will act as the designated Key Worker for patients undergoing treatment, providing expert clinical support, education and care coordination throughout their journey. Working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will deliver specialist nursing care, advocate for patients and contribute to the ongoing development of high-quality, evidence-based services that place patients at the centre of everything we do.

What You’ll Do

• Help establish and develop specialist breast cancer services within the new Leeds centre.

What You’ll Have

• Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience within breast cancer care, oncology or a closely related speciality.
• Experience supporting patients through complex cancer pathways.
• Excellent assessment, communication and care coordination skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with patients, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Experience working autonomously whilst contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or within an advanced practice role would be advantageous.
