Job summary

Hospiscare in Exeter is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide expert palliative and specialist care in the community.

You’ll manage your own caseload, offer skilled clinical advice and interventions, and work closely with GPs and Community Nurses to ensure timely, compassionate care for patients and families. This seven‑day service is part‑time (30 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with experience in palliative or specialist care.
• Ability to manage a caseload and provide evidence-based care.
• Community-based role with seven-day service and collaboration with GPs and Community Nurses.

Join Hospiscare as a Clinical Nurse Specialist!

Location: Exeter, EX2 5JJ
Hours: 30 hours/week, 4 days per week out of 5
Salary: Hospiscare Band 6: £39,959 – £48,117 per annum pro rata

As a Registered Nurse with experience in palliative or specialist care, you’ll play a vital role in supporting people living with complex, life‑limiting illnesses. Working as part of our friendly multi‑disciplinary team, you’ll provide compassionate, evidence‑based care that’s shaped around each person’s needs, wishes and wellbeing.

In this community‑based role, you’ll manage your own caseload, offering skilled clinical advice, thoughtful interventions, and meaningful support to patients and those close to them. You’ll work closely with local GPs and Community Nurses to ensure everyone receives the right care, at the right time, from the people they trust.

You’ll be based in Exeter and contribute to our seven‑day service, helping us reach more people who need our specialist support.
