Position Overview

The Women’s, Children’s and Clinical Services Directorate seeks a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager for our Gynaecology Service. The postholder will lead service development across acute and outpatient services at two hospital sites.

  • Proven track record in service development
  • Evidence of continued professional development and education
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage service provision, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice
  • Ensure compliance with local and national guidelines and targets
  • Lead further improvements in the Gynaecology service
About the Service

The service includes subspecialties such as Gynae Oncology, Colposcopy, Urogynae, Infertility, Menopause, Early Pregnancy, and Termination of Pregnancy, along with inpatient and 24-hour emergency gynae wards. Recent infrastructure investments include a purpose-built inpatient ward (2023) and a new outpatient unit at Queen Margaret Hospital (2025).

Location and Community

Fife is on the East coast of Scotland, between Edinburgh and Dundee, known for its scenic attractions, golf, and historic towns like St Andrews. The area offers coastal paths, fishing villages, and vibrant communities.
