Job Description:

The Women’s, Children’s and Clinical Services Directorate are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager to our Gynaecology Service. The postholder will be responsible for leadership and service development across our acute and outpatient services across the 2 hospital sites.

We require a dedicated clinical leader with extensive experience at AfC band 7. The role requires the post holder to have experience of service development with evidence of continued professional development and education. The post holder will be responsible for service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.

Our service is modern and progressive with subspecialty nursing roles in Gynae Oncology, Colposcopy, Urogynae, Infertility, Menopause, Early Pregnancy and Termination of Pregnancy, alongside our inpatient and 24-hour emergency gynae ward. The postholder will lead further improvements and developments within the Gynaecology service.

The service has seen considerable investment in its infrastructure, with a purpose-built inpatient gynaecology ward created in 2023 and a new gynaecology outpatient unit at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, in March 2025.
