Job summary

KIMS Hospital in Maidstone is seeking an experienced Clinical Nursing Manager to lead inpatient wards and enhanced care services. You will provide operational, professional, and clinical leadership across our clinical teams, ensuring safe staffing, patient flow, and high standards of care.

A strong track record in governance and change management is essential. You will report to the Chief Nurse and work closely with Consultants and the Matron to continually improve pathways and patient

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing and current professional registration.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in surgical and medical nursing.
• Extensive senior nursing experience in an acute hospital environment.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams, resources, budgets, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of inpatient wards and enhanced care, ensuring safe staffing and patient flow.
• Provide visible clinical leadership, coaching, and performance management to ward/department leads.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, regulatory, quality, and patient safety requirements (CQC standards).
• Collaborate with Consultants, the Matron, and wider hospital teams to develop seamless patient pathways.
• Support strategic service development and change management initiatives; contribute to the hospital's clinical strategy.

• Ensure compliance with all clinical governance, regulatory, quality, and patient safety requirements, including CQC standards and hospital policies.
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, the Matron, and wider hospital teams to develop seamless patient pathways and enhance patient experience.
