eNL, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor in Birmingham to join its Healthcare team.

You will handle a varied caseload from inception to resolution, advise on liability, draft pleadings, review medical evidence, liaise with experts, negotiate settlements, and contribute to client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• For NQ solicitors, clinical negligence experience gained during training is essential.
• Experience with complex clinical negligence matters preferred, with 1+ year PQE for qualified solicitors.
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills; able to manage demanding caseloads.

Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor, NQ+ Years PQE, Birmingham

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join the Healthcare team of a leading international law firm in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value clinical negligence claims, acting primarily on behalf of private insurers.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters from inception through to resolution, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients throughout the litigation process.

• You will draft pleadings and witness statements.
• You will review medical evidence.
• You will liaise with medical experts and negotiate settlements.
• You will work alongside experienced colleagues on complex claims.
• You will contribute to client relationship management and support business development initiatives.

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from Newly Qualified Solicitors through to experienced Solicitors with a background in defendant clinical negligence.

• For NQ Solicitors, specialist clinical negligence experience gained during a training contract or previous role is essential.
• Candidates should have experience of complex clinical negligence matters, with at least one year's PQE preferred for qualified solicitors.
• You will possess strong technical and analytical skills, excellent drafting and negotiation abilities, and the confidence to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining high standards of client service.
