Salaried Clinical Negligence Partner - Cardiff

Cardiff £85,000-£100,000 + benefits Salaried Partner

A leading Top 100 UK law firm with a Tier 1-ranked Clinical Negligence practice is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Partner in Cardiff.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded Cardiff team with an established reputation for handling a broad range of medical negligence claims, including high-value and complex matters.

The opportunity

The Cardiff team has a strong reputation in the market and acts for clients across a wide range of Clinical Negligence matters, from more straightforward claims through to cases of the highest value and complexity.

There is no particular sub-specialism required for this appointment. The team has experience across areas including:

• Birth injury and cerebral palsy claims
• Surgical and hospital negligence
• Misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis
• GP negligence
• Gynaecological and obstetric claims
• Cauda equina and spinal injury claims
• Amputation and catastrophic injury claims
• Cardiac and orthopaedic negligence
• Dental and anaesthetic negligence
• Complex claims involving long-term care and rehabilitation
• Inquests and claims arising from fatal incidents

The practice is recognised for its technical expertise, strong client care and collaborative approach, both within the wider firm and with external organisations, charities and professional contacts.

About you

The firm is open-minded on the precise background of the successful individual. The key requirement is strong Clinical Negligence experience, combined with the credibility and seniority to operate at Partner level.

This could suit an established Partner, Legal Director or Senior Associate who is ready to take the next step.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience handling Clinical Negligence claims.
• A broad technical understanding of medical negligence work.
• Experience managing complex and high-value matters.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• A proven ability to develop professional and client relationships.
• A track record of business development or the desire and ability to develop this further.
• The confidence and judgement to operate at a senior level.
• A collaborative approach to working within an established Cardiff team.
