The Clinical Matron will be accountable for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care within the Surgery Care Group. They will be easily identifiable to clients and users, provide strong, visible leadership, and possess the authority to support, advise, and assist patients, their families, and carers. The key focus will be Patient Safety, Patient Experience, user engagement, quality care, and clinical outcomes.
The post holder will have clinical and managerial responsibility for a defined clinical portfolio within the Surgery Care Group, including the Intensive Care Unit. They will support activities related to delivering high-quality services, managing service pressures & patient flow, and maintaining high standards of care. They will lead delegated projects and support operational issues, deputising as appropriate.
