Job description

We are seeking a forward-thinking, dynamic, and compassionate AHP to join our leadership team, holding a professional qualification and HCPC registration in Speech and Language Therapy.

Applications are invited for the role of Clinical Manager, Band 8a, from candidates with proven experience in effective clinical leadership and a passion for continuous improvement in service delivery to children, young people, and families.

Note: Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are not eligible.

Employment in this role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the direct delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that prioritize safety, privacy, and dignity.
2. Provide leadership and clinical management to team leaders and highly specialist practitioners within the CYP SALT Service.
3. Champion clinical standards and continuous service improvement, ensuring standards meet contractual requirements.
4. Ensure the delivery of up-to-date, evidence-based practice.
5. Lead change initiatives, contributing to service planning and design aligned with Trust, locality, and strategic objectives to meet community needs.
6. Be clinically accountable for the CYP SALT Service delivery within the directorate, leveraging experience from earlier roles in patient care.
7. Promote patient care improvements across all roles, including resolving complaints and concerns, drawing on earlier career experience.
