Job summary

The University of Cumbria, in partnership with the North West Ambulance Service, invites applications for a 2-year fixed term Clinical Lecturer (or secondment) to deliver the BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science. The post is Lancaster-based with occasional travel to neighbouring Trusts to support programme delivery.

You should be a registered healthcare professional with pre-hospital experience and either ambulance-based or HEI healthcare education delivery background.

• Eligible for or in the process of completing the postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Engage with induction and development activities for teaching excellence.

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), in conjunction with the University of Cumbria, are seeking applications for a 2-year fixed term Clinical Lecturer or this can be a secondment opportunity. The successful post holder will work with the academic team to deliver the University's BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science

The post will be based in Lancaster however there may be the requirement to travel to neighbouring Trusts to support the delivery of the same programme. The post holder should be an appropriately registered healthcare professional with experience of working within the pre-hospital environment as well as experience in delivering either ambulance based pre-hospital education or Higher Education Institution based healthcare education. Post holders will be supported to complete the first module of the postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching in higher education if this has not been achieved already. In addition, a bespoke induction programme will be available for new starters to engage with to support their transition into Higher Education.

The post will be based in Lancaster; however, there will be a requirement to travel to the Liverpool delivery site to support the delivery
