Job summary

Qualifications
- Vocational masters degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide a specialist antimicrobial stewardship and clinical pharmacy service, ensuring safe, effective and cost-effective use of antimicrobial medicines.
- Review, prescribe and optimise antimicrobial therapy for patients with complex infections; act as independent prescriber within scope.
- Collaborate with consultants, microbiologists and wider MDT to support decision-making and patient outcomes.
- Support antimicrobial governance, quality improvement, audits, research and service development.
- Provide clinical leadership, education and supervision to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Participate in 7-day working and on-call rotas as part of operational pharmacy services.
