Nottingham Children's Speech and Language Therapy service is part of Nottinghamshire Health NHS Foundation Trust, providing SLT support for SLCN and DLD across community settings. The role combines leadership with direct clinical work on complex caseloads, alongside staff supervision and pathway development.

The post holder will oversee the SLC pathway, supervise staff, and contribute to service planning and training with an emphasis on high quality, family‑centred care.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification.
• Health Professions Council Licence to Practice.
• Desirable: Teaching/training qualification.
• Desirable: Leadership qualification e.g. Mary Seacole.
• Desirable: Member of RCSLT.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the clinical delivery of the SLC pathway, ensuring well‑coordinated, proactive, specialist SLT services.
• Supervise SLT assistants and less experienced SLTs; provide peer support.
• Lead on staff training needs for the SLC pathway and drive service planning and transformation.
• Maintain a clinical caseload including complex cases and families as part of the pathway.
• Participate in leadership activities within the band 7 leadership team and contribute to transformation.
