Job summary

Harbour Healthcare Ltd is seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse (RGN) for our Leek care home. You will lead nursing care and supervise a team to ensure high-quality resident care. NMC registration is required and a minimum of 3 years in a similar role is expected.

The role offers £23.81 per hour, 37.5 hours per week, and a variety of learning and progression opportunities within Harbour Healthcare. This is a full-time post based in Leek, Staffordshire.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Current NMC registration is required.
• Experience in elder care or care home setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and supervise client care needs and provide direct nursing care when required.
• Assess new clients and maintain ongoing assessments for all residents.
• Ensure care plans are completed and coordinated with clients, families and health professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines following policy and NMC guidelines.
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality in all client dealings.
• Supervise and train junior staff and students in care routines.
• Attend mandatory training days as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.

Your Main responsibilities for being a Nurse are:

• Assess all aspects of client's care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.
• Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain on‑going assessment and review of all other Clients.
• Ensure that Client care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with Clients, Relatives and other Health Care Professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines and company policy.
• Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the company's procedure and NMC guidelines.
• Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Clients personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship which exists clients.
• Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.
• Attend mandatory training days/courses on or off site when required.
• Establish and maintain good communication with clients, relatives and with the multidisciplinary team. Provide administrative support when required.
