Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative Paediatric OT to join our Children's Complex Disability team based at Leasowe Millennium Centre. As part of the wider Paediatric OT team, including the Early Years and Sensory Motor teams, you will work alongside clinical leads to lead the Children's OT service.

The role offers the opportunity to develop OT services for school-age children with complex disabilities and neurological conditions. You will carry out assessments and interventions, providing advice and support across educational and community settings. A key aspect involves assessing and advising on housing adaptations, manual handling, and access within these settings.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive OT with postgraduate experience in children's services and neurological conditions.

Your responsibilities include effective communication with staff, patients, carers, and agencies to coordinate care; analyzing and delivering complex clinical information; supporting staff with complex cases; and being professionally responsible for patient treatment, equipment, resources, and documentation.

You will conduct specialist assessments, provide education and advice to various stakeholders, and undertake audits, surveys, or research to improve services. Demonstrating leadership through teamwork, flexibility, enthusiasm, and commitment to your specialty is essential.
