An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our Specialist Eating Disorders Service to provide expert clinical leadership support to ensure the delivery of evidence-based interventions and outcomes in the Adult Eating Disorders Service. Working in partnership with the Service Leads, Operational Manager, Peer Support and community teams to manage and support community occupational therapy interventions, intensive outreach pathway and future service developments.
We are currently looking to recruit a highly skilled and enthusiastic senior occupational therapist to join our Eating Disorders team. We seek someone with strong leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality clinical care, who is looking for the next step in their career development.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at the Redwoods Centre, Shropshire, which features a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing innovative treatment to foster long-lasting change and recovery for patients with eating disorders.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and innovative individual with a genuine interest in working within the specialist field of eating disorders to join a multidisciplinary team and assist the Operational Manager in providing clinical leadership and daily management of the occupational therapy pathways.(Interview date TBC)
The post involves delivering various specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, leading the occupational therapy contribution to assessment, interventions, care planning, and evaluation. The main aim is to ensure referred individuals' occupational needs are assessed and addressed through tailored interventions and recommendations, forming part of a comprehensive care plan.

The post holder will manage a complex caseload, including conducting specialist occupational therapy assessments, developing care plans with service users and carers, and evaluating treatment outcomes. Responsibilities include setting quality standards, participating in audits, and ensuring practice aligns with current clinical guidelines and policies.
Other duties include assessing individual care needs, delivering non-pharmacological interventions, conducting risk assessments, promoting positive risk-taking, maintaining reporting systems, utilizing outcome measures, supporting training, and contributing to service development to uphold clinical governance.
The role requires working within the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, maintaining professional competence, and ensuring care aligns with NICE guidelines, RCOT standards, and other relevant policies.Please see attached JD/PS for further details.
This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, to verify any criminal convictions.
