Mid Bedfordshire Community Health Services are seeking a full-time Band 7 Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead to join the Community Occupational Therapy service within the Primary Care Home Team. We operate a 7-day service from 8am to 9pm.
You should be an experienced therapist providing sound clinical advice, committed to improving patient outcomes, and confident in supporting, coaching, and developing individuals and teams to deliver high-quality services.
Your role involves assessing clients in their residence, offering evidence-based assessments, advice, and equipment to support their independence, quality of life, and personal goals.
You will collaborate closely with all members of the therapy team—Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, and Rehabilitation Support Workers—as well as a broader multidisciplinary workforce across Bedfordshire. Building strong links with professionals and services to provide holistic care is essential.
The role requires innovation, forward-thinking, self-drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should take pride in your work, be highly motivated, adaptable, and embrace change. Networking and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders are vital.
You will support clinical decision-making, oversee team performance, supervise qualified staff, and contribute to student placements and mentoring for university apprenticeships.
Occupational Therapists play a key role in shaping and developing the service, with opportunities to expand the role collaboratively with Social Care colleagues and in acute settings.
