Essential criteria

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration

Desirable criteria

• Qualification of recognised highly specialist skills in relevant areas (Masters or equivalent)
• Post Graduate qualification/experience in leadership

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria

• Able to demonstrate recent NHS experience or equivalent
• Evidence of current consolidated experience at a Senior Level in relevant speciality

Desirable criteria

• Qualification of recognised highly specialist skills in relevant areas (Masters or equivalent)
• Experience of working in acute and community specialities

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Must be literate, numerate and possess advanced verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyse, select and apply appropriate interventions from a range of modalities
• Good working clinical knowledge of specialist and standard community assistive equipment prescribing (including wheelchairs)
• Demonstrate ability to prioritise caseload and delegate clinical and non -clinical duties to staff of a lower grade

Desirable criteria

• Community equipment service PIN holder with working knowledge of local prescribing policy and practices
