This is an exciting opportunity to drive service improvement and transformation, provide strategic and clinical leadership, champion innovation, inclusion and co-production, and foster a psychologically safe culture where staff can thrive. Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, you will lead quality and governance initiatives, support workforce development, reduce health inequalities, and make a lasting difference to the lives of older people and their carers across Leeds.


Main duties of the job

Provide strategic and clinical leadership for Older People's Services as part of the leadership triumvirate, ensuring high-quality, safe and effective patient care. Lead clinical governance, quality improvement, risk management, service development and workforce leadership, while promoting service user involvement, managing clinical performance, and ensuring compliance with Trust, professional and regulatory standards.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. As a teaching trust with strong links to local universities, we are a centre of excellence for teaching, research and development.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Professional Qualification in health.

Experience

  • Evidence and experience of engaging and involving service users, carers and staff in co-designing and improving services
  • Recent clinical experience in working with older people at a senior practitioner level. Evidence and experience of providing high standards of clinical leadership at a senior level.

Knowledge

  • Understanding and experience of developing psychologically safe and collective leadership cultures and learning systems to improve the delivery of high quality, safe, effective and person-centred health care services
